Badrinath Dham, one of the Chardham set on the lofty peaks of snow-clad Garhwal Himalayas is the abode of Lord Vishnu. This holy Dham falls in Uttarakhand Chamoli district and the shrine here is said to have been founded by Adi Guru Shankaracharya, the renowned founder and reformer of Hinduism. The Badrinath Dham stands with all divine glory at the sacred confluence of River Alaknanda and Rishi Ganga. The awe-inspiring Nilkantha Peak overshadows the Badrinath Dham which is poised amid the majestic mountain ranges entitled as ‘Nar-Narayan’.

The mythological aura and spiritual significance of Badrinath Dham cause thousands of pilgrims to flock the place each year. According to legends, Lord Vishnu undertook rigorous penance at this place and to save him from the onslaughts of the scorching sun, His consort Goddess Mahalaxmi took the shape of a Badri Tree to shelter him. There are many places to visit near Badrinath like Swargarohini, Sheshnetra, Satopanth, Nilkantha Peak, Mata Murti Temple, Charan Paduka, Brahma Kapal, Mana Village,Vyas Cave, Tapt Kund and Vasudhara Falls.

📅 Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1 Haridwar – Badrinath

Morning, drive to Badrinath (06:00 Am). Check in to the hotel arrival in Badrinath. Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in evening. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee. Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Day 2 Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag

Morning after breakfast, driver for Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Visit on the way Narsingh Temple in Joshimath later drive back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Check into the hotel arrival in Rudraprayag. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag.

Day 3 Rudraprayag – Haridwar

Morning after breakfast, drop at Haridwar via Rishikesh. Rishikesh ‘place of sages’ is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of ” Hrishikesh ” and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh.. Later visit Rishikesh Temples & Sight Seeing – Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla.
